What to do in the Blue Mountains

Welcome to February 2023! We can’t believe the first month of the twelve months has come and gone so fast like it’s flashed in front of our eyes and now March has crept up on us too. February brings us Pride Month for the LGBTQ+ 🌈 community. This year we gather, dream and amplify for equal justice and equal opportunity for protest against discrimination. As normally celebrated in June, this year Sydney World Pride is from 17th of February until 5th of March. We would like to touch on some of the things to do in the Blue Mountains while the weather is on our side and it’s still summer here (for those of you who do not reside in Australia or know the Australian weather). Let us provide you with some must do things. Just remember, there’s more to the Blue Mountains than just the Three Sisters & Echo Point. These are by no means in ranking or particular order. Megalong Valley Not only is much cooler down in the valley but it also has its own rainforest as well as beautiful farmland and wineries. You feel like you’re in an engulfed canyon.

DryRidge Estate is definitely a must do. Nestled in the beautiful Megalong Valley, surrounded by towering sandstone escarpments, Dryridge Estate is a stunning boutique vineyard 20 minutes by car from Blackheath, the nearest Blue Mountains township. Dryridge Estate is only two hours drive from Sydney, which makes the vineyard very appealing for both weekend and day trips. We have a phenomenal cellar door area where we do wine tasting of all of our current vintage wines. Guests can snack on delicious cheese boards and a ploughman’s lunch, all whilst overlooking the best scenery in the Blue Mountains.

Ensure they’re open by contacting them before hand or check out their website for more information.

Explore the world heritage listed Blue Mountains like never before on the back of an Australian ex-army Land Rover with side facing seats. With elevated seating you get to smell the eucalypts and get a rugged ride in such a short time. They’ll take you away from the concrete and handrails and you’ll get to explore the Australian bush unlike ever before.
